Hi fellow motor clubs

We’re inviting your club members to take part in our Clubmans permit All Day autotests on Sunday 25th September 2016 at Acaster near York.

Acaster is an old WWII airfield, it is concrete, tarmac, moss and loose gravel, which is great for sliding cars around the cones. In all there will be about 18+ tests, not too taxing and we’re a friendly bunch of car enthusiasts. Finish time is usually around 4pm.

One of the classes is our popular team event. All you need is three club members for your team. Though if you don’t have three members who are able to come along, individuals are very welcome. But it would be great if your motor club could put a team in, it adds to the fun.

Last year our Chairman fuelled us all with bacon butties before the tests began and we’re hoping that he’ll do that again this year. Also, unlike many airfields, we will have the luxury of toilet facilities!

I’ll be sending out the SRs and entry forms early to mid-August, so if you could let me know if this is something your members would be interested in and I’ll make sure you’re on my mailing list. Plus there’ll be info on our website at www.yorkmotorclub.org.uk . It would be good to hear from you whether it’s a yes or a no, so that I know I’ve sent this email to the correct person. And, if not, can you let me know who the correct person is.
